Travelling by Car
The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is just over an hour’s drive from Brisbane. Travelling North up the Bruce Highway, follow ‘Sunshine Coast’ signs. Take the ‘Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Drive’ exit (‘Steve Irwin Way’).
Travelling South down the Bruce Highway, there is an exit for Nambour/Mapleton, or further south, take the exit for Landsborough.
Travelling by Rail
The railway stations at Landsborough and Nambour provide rail services into central Brisbane (Roma St). Journey time is around 1hr 20min from Landsborough. Queensland Rail journey planner
Travelling by Air
Brisbane Domestic and International Airport is an hour’s drive from Maleny and Montville.
The Sunshine Coast Airport is located north of Maroochydore and is only a 35-45 minute drive from Montville and Maleny. There are regular domestic flights with Qantas, Virgin Australia and JetStar to major Australian cities.
International flights with Air New Zealand are seasonal.
Major rental car options are available at the Airport.
travelling by bus
Translink offer bus connections servicing Maleny to Nambour, terminating at Nambour Station, via Montville, Flaxton and Mapleton from Monday to Friday only with Route 890.
Translink also service Maleny to Landsborough Station with Route 891 from Monday to Sunday, on weekends and public holidays.
