Pattemore House

15 Porters Lane, North Maleny

Historic, elegant Pattemore House (Fairview) and surrounding spacious garden is a Queensland State Heritage listed property situated in Maleny. It was built in 1907 by the Pattemore family, built entirely from white beech timber grown, pit-sawn and then dressed by hand on the property.

It is one of the oldest in-situ examples of early 20th Century farmhouses in the district built using this technique.

This unique heritage venue is open regularly to the public for house and garden tours, short films and interesting photography and displays – including how it was constructed by four brothers for their parents. The displays also reveal the stories of the farming families who lived and worked there from 1907 until 1995, when it was purchased by the Sunshine Coast Council.
